FAQ

Business plan questions, answered plainly.

The questions people ask most before working together. Don't see yours? Ask it on a free discovery call.

How much does a business plan cost?
A Business Plan Review of a draft you wrote is $350. Business Plan Writing starts at $1,500, with a fixed quote set after the free discovery call based on the scope of research and financial modeling your plan needs.
How long does it take?
A Business Plan Review is delivered within 5 business days of receiving your draft. For Business Plan Writing, the timeline depends on scope and how quickly your financial information comes together; you get a written timeline before work begins.
Do you help with SBA loans?
Yes. Business plans are written and formatted for lender review, including the financial projections lenders expect. Your lender makes the lending decision and may have its own forms and checklist.
Can I work with you remotely?
Yes. Mentoring, focused meetings, plan reviews, and plan writing all work by email and online video, for clients anywhere in the United States. On-site training and retreats are in person.
Do I need a full plan or a canvas?
If you are testing an idea, start with a one-page business model canvas. If you are applying for a loan, raising money, or committing serious resources, you need a full plan. Many founders use the canvas first and build the plan from it.
What happens on the discovery call?
It is a free 30-minute video call. You describe what you are building and where you are stuck, and we figure out whether one of the services fits. If none does, you will hear that plainly.
Is my information confidential?
Yes. Your plans, numbers, and conversations are treated as confidential and are not shared with anyone without your permission.
Do you provide legal or tax advice?
No. BusinessPlan.MBA provides business education, planning assistance, and decision-preparation services. It does not provide legal representation, tax-return preparation, or individualized legal or tax advice.
Can my team attend training?
Yes. Live on-site training is built for small teams, as a half day (4 hours, $1,000) or a full day (8 hours, $2,000), plus travel and lodging. Each participant gets a workbook.
How do retreats work?
Executive Learning Retreats run 3, 4, or 5 days with a custom agenda, meals, and private lodging. Flannagan Lodge hosts 1 to 4 attendees; The Breaks Interstate Park hosts groups up to 10. Each retreat is quoted after a discovery call.
